There is a crazy phenomenon that happens in our house every Saturday.
It's called LSU football.
Being from Iowa, I had "some" loyalty to all three state schools (GO IOWA!). No, seriously, if one of the other schools had any team make it into any national tournament, I'd cheer for them. But in Louisiana, it's a little different.
They only have one state school, and the ENTIRE STATE IS CRAZY about them.
So, every Saturday, we have to watch LSU.
And this is where it gets weird (as if that wasn't weird enough)...
Jackson has to wear his LSU shirt for them to win.
It has happened 5 or 6 times that I will conveniently forget to put his LSU shirt on him on Saturday during football season, and the game comes on, and LSU doesn't do very well. And then the shirt goes on and--I'm not kidding you--LSU will score a touchdown within the next minute.
And then go on to win the game.
I just don't understand it. And it makes me so mad that one little thing can turn a football game in another state around!!!
For example, last night, we went out to dinner, came home, and LSU was losing 30 to 3. The shirt goes on, they scored within seconds, and then kept scoring and went on to win the game.
Does this happen to anyone else? The LSU Gods must watch us pretty closely.
So much, it is scary.
